BIOHi everyone!
I'm a 19 year old guy from Sweden, right now I'm just being unemployed, I'm taking one year off before I continue studying. Since I don't have an occupation at the moment, I spend an awful lot of time playing computer games and working with 3D. Since my dream is to work with 3D-graphics in the future, I thought I could aswell pay some serious attention already.
I started working with bryce when it was first released, but I didn't start playing around seriously until 1998 or something. I first started to use Lightwave in April, or something like that, that's when I found renderocity. It's really a great place for inspiration and development. cheers!

It's excellent. I don't think I have anything more to add. You've learned everything you wanted to on this one. I like the new floor.

Have you tried using a HDRI image on the blade under the environment tab or even using imageworld to give the blade the polished look of steel. Unless thats how its meant to look the blade looks like its made out of lead. Excellent work just the blade lets it down.

Actually, this image uses imageworld, but that is the way it turns out, due to the shape of the blade. Thanks.

I think the textures are greatly improved since the last version, particularly the floor, even though it looks a bit odd up close.

Exceptional work! While the textures here are very good, they're not quite a traditional tatami mat floor. But, I suppose they are perfectly matched to that superb but not quite traditional katana. Is that a Hatori Hanzo blade? :oP

Hatori Hanzo blade LOL good one M, you've been watching a bit to much Kill Bill? ;) .,. Tor, this is good stuff! you've certainly made a good job! .. only crit i can come up with at this point is the light.. you've got a light-source in the image (the lamp) yet, most of the light seem to come from above, why? .,. make the lamp the primary lightsource in the scene, it will enhance imagery! :) peace //Benny.

This sword really looks real,lol,excellent

You can make the sword a lot better by giving a wave pattern on the blade side, cutting the sides of the tip real SHARP(by boolean I guess), making a realistic hilt(where all weight is placed), and making a sword stopper rugged, changing the floor more like a Dojyo, changing the light inside the lantern from ELECTRICITY into a candle of oil lamp, and finally replacing the brushstroke with a proper one. Scabbard. mmm, another story. There is much to be done. Don't be satisfied with this level. You can make it far better. I think you can do it.
