One from the vault.
I did this in December 2003 and found it today while looking for a different image. There are a few things I liked about it, so I thought I'd post it.
The type was converted to paths and edited in Freehand 9. I then imported the paths into Strata 3.9 Pro and extruded them. Did the basic light setup and render there, then brought it into Photoshop 7 where I added the background. If memory serves me, this is a composite of several renders, each focusing on different highlights and shadows. I also remember that I was heavily influenced by the logo for ZALES jewelry stores.
The image was used in one or two flyers/product sheets, but we dropped it in favor of something else.

I like the contrast and the underlying message. In all of the morass of the regs/restrictions/business 'noise' there is one in the forefront. I like the way that you use the visual 'subtext' to get the product out there, pizza or otherwise. Must be some interesting Monday morning meetings at work ;) Good job.
