Hi, I'm Dave :^)
I've learned that Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration! I started CGA as a hobby early 2004. This site is huge, so if you have seen any of my material, then thank you for taking the time.
BIO:I'm a widowed Electronics and Software design Engineer living in Southern California, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
My late wife Robin.. passed in 2003 after 31 wonderfully married years, the last 7 of which Robin was in poor health. I miss my Babe so much...
I'm working with Poser5, Bryce5.5, Wings3D, PSP-10 and CorelPaint8.My mother (Elnor) is also on this site as Silkylady. If you get a chance, please drop by her gallery and see her work.
Finally, remember these words of wisdom:
1) Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.2) If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems will look like nails.3) It's amazing what can be accomplished when one doesn't know what one can't do.4) Very few know how much one must know in order to know how little one really knows.5) Give a man fire and you heat him for awhile. Set a man on fire and he is heated for life.6) Complexity is a set of things that we figured how to do right, one built on top of the other, until failure is achieved.7) Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.8) Marriage is a place where you can be wrong in ways you never thought possible.9) If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him.. is he still wrong?10) If at first you don't succeed, then cover up all previous attempts that failed.
Please enjoy your visit! Dave :^)(AKA: 'davidoblad','DLO')

Now really Dave, extremes are extremes ! If I was with my granddaughter showing up at your house and saw this you sure would keep your candy. I can here her now "grandpa lets get out here this is a real bad man he buries dead people in his front lawn. This is a bad man grandpa come on let's split now" Now Dave, even the all time favorite cheap guy Scrooge wouldn't go to this extreme to save on candy. (and don't give me the candy is money thing) these are children we're talking about here Dave loosen up you all time cheap guy! SUPER COOL ol Buddy. Maria my granddaughter asked me to vote for the picture of the cheap man who owns this house, so being a sucker grandpa I gave in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to come and decorate my house Dave!! LOL! Now, see, I would be the first one to run up those steps! I love that stuff! The way I see it, if you take that much time on decorating for Halloween, you have to be givin' away some great candy! Wonderful work on this Dave! Love the ghost guy on the porch! Happy Halloweenie!! :)))

Why do kids and adults like to scare? Cause it's fun to see them jump and scream. yeah! That's almost as fun as sneaking candy from the kids bags...oops, didn't mean to reveal that! Wooooooo - happy halloween......

Aww Dave! This is excellent my friend. The decorations are outstanding. The slightly opened door is a terrific effect, gives off a scary feeling. You did super on this Dave, as I know this isn't the easiest of holidays for you. I am in awe of your fine detailed work in this. Way to go and you get my vote!!!

I'd walk through hell for a handful of fresh candy corn, so this house would be no problem! Great, fun, pic!

This is great David! I love the lighting that shines through the eyes of all the scary faces, especially the one on the roof. The guy on the left made me laugh and he was scary at the same time. And is that a ghostly you walking on the porch? Great job David, lot's of fun. Happy Holoween!
