Description

I sometimes think I should have paid more attention to the signs next to each exhibit when photographing the raptors at Spier... the online birding guides are a little vague sometimes. Just posting more from the Spier trip... almost done with those that I feel are worth posting. The rest are good but repetitive or flawed in my mind because I had to shoot through bars or wire mesh to get a shot. These last few at least were out in the 'open' and didn't look as caged as the others. I hate seeing animals of any sort caged... Breaks my heart to see some of these raptors straining to get free from their jesses and fly away. Somethings, I feel, were just never meant to be caged and put on display.

A beautiful picture ! Still I think there is too much noise in this picture. It's not dificult to remove noise as you probably know.

Ok, I've reposted this, having redone the conversion process without the artificial film grain steps. The remaining grain is the result of 400 ASA film.

You have been so lucky to keep him in rest position. You must be a very silentful photographer. Congrat.

Another beautifull image from the series. I agree with caging, somehow I feel that trapping any type of being is wrong. Well done.

Wonderful and agree with you so much about such wild creatures being so shackled.. I do wonder how a colour version would look here..
