Description
Looking at yesterdays post I realised that not one shot of the different angles showed that you could do a render from inside the cabins or that you could be right up close. The cabins infact look better the closer you get. Each single log has a 800x2400 pixel texture the small cabin the square one, uses 45 (the log texture repeats 40 times once for each log) texture maps ranging from 200x1000 (times 9 for a 12x12 floor section) for the planks to 800x2400 for the 12 foot logs, 800x1600 for the 6 foot logs and 800x800 for the 3 foot logs. This gives the effect of having one single texture that is about 10000x10000 for the cabin. Can you get close..you can press your nose right up against the window and render. As shown in the second one down on your left. As well the whole set is rearangeable, each of the 3 cabins shown yeasterday are saved as a single prop, but all the parts used to make them are saved in the library too. So you can load 2 floors 12 feet by 24 feet, 2 of the 4 wall sections to make a back wall and any 2 sections to make end walls and now do renders of the inside or construct your own cabins. The walls are 6 inches thick and 12 feet long. so using the X and Z dials you can move thins exactly where they need to go to be lined up. for the square cabin this means 1 wall at Z=6.4 one at Z=-6.4 one at X=6.4 and one at X=-6.4, drop in the four corner posts at X & Z = 6.3 (pluss or minus to get the 4 corners) and boom you have a 12x12 foot cabin. Add a 12 foot roof (in library marked as Roof 12) and 1 floor section and you have a full cabin. The reason for 6.4 and corner posts is to keep the walls from overlaping. When add 2 walls together move one X=-6 and one X=6 and they but up perfect. A Corner log is included to cover over the joint or a corner post can be used. I'm still packing this thing up and Am not sure yet how big the download will be...but I think this one will be popular...lol

We're going to be building a new home here in a couple of years and we've been seriously considering a log home. These pictures look almost exactly like many of the manufacturer brochures we'be been seeing. Great job!
