Description

She laid her body across the cool stone of his tomb. Numb and weary with grief, she recalled the smell of his hair, the touch of his hand. Gone now, leaving her with the task of rebuilding her life and the lives of those around her. Questions were in her mind, why had her father locked her in her bower until he was entombed? Not even a chance to say goodbye as was customary. Sidelong glances and whispers led her to believe that all was not well, that his untimely end was not an accident. Or perhaps he was not gone at all....perhaps a secret mission for her father. Or perhaps she was just losing her mind. The connection was not broken. Their love strong, even in death, she could still feel his presence, strong and vital. He was not gone, she was sure of it, and tomorrow she would start the hunt for him. It did not matter what the journey brought to her, as long as the path led her back to her beloved. Felt like writing for a change, it's been a long time since I've written any stories and I'm starting to feel the tug again..the muse is sending me in a different direction once again. Jeni, thank you so much, she is beautiful.
