Description

Bevor I start my series about scotland I dare to post my second try with terragen. Its only an experiment with texture colors, and I don't know why, but this one I like. I also know it is nothing special or "wonderful", so please stay objective! ;o) PS Now I know why I love this work: It is the POV I have when hiking through the mountains. If I would find a place like this I would have thought as a photographer: "what a wonderful colored stuff under my feet! I must capture it for RR!" Thanks for wasting your time here and all helpful comments are welcome!

Never wasting time when artist renovate and dare to push their limit more and more...I'm not good in having a judgment in a terrain I dont know. But my feeling or emotion haren't handicaped and can say I love this Martian and Lunar Landscape.

Agree with hillrunner. Good experiment! Sossy, just for fun, try this again, by getting rid of the up close terrain, I like the glimpse of the distant cliffs the most, so maybe this surface would be more effective with a more distant terrain.

A wonderful feel to this beautiful terrain! Like the colours and light very much, Rita! You know I'm not able to do this... the only thing I can say the texture looks a bit rough to me... but that's just me :o) Wonderful POV and atmosphere! Keep it up, my friend!

For a second try with TG this is pretty good!!! I've been experimenting with TG for a while, and I dont think I'm improving lol. The terrain is very nice. But from what little I do know, I think it's easier to do distant landscapes, that way you dont have as many things to worry about when it comes to textures and surfaces. Also (from my own work) surfaces look little more real from a distance....then again the pros can do close ups with ease!!! Nicely done =)

thanks for the helpful devices! ;o) I know that almost everyone expect far views and realistic panoramas in terragen. I know this, be sure. But here I don't wanted to show what everyone expect (boring)! with a far view you wouln't see the colors (cocoa on honey). I like the POV like it is, because I would like to hike there! Look at my shots of mountains and you will see what I mean! It is a photographer view and I didn't want to create what everyone does! You see?

I think it's great and also great that you are trying Terragen...I've never tried it, but enjoy others' works...I can see your photographer's POV and also loved hiking in the back country..the more rugged, the better! Congratulations!
