Description

* What I used to take as granted is not beside me anymore: I see from windscreen the road that goes, but I feel like I won't reach anywhere, and I feel like everything fades off... I am nowhere, I am nothing I am a space to be filled, I am a lost voice. What I was used to make, with no second guesses, with no thankful heart for it, since I was thinkin it was something sure is now a further stage to aim at, but I wonder if I have forces to wish to win again all that... I am nowhere, with no friends to talk to, I am nothing after I lost used definitions to direct myself to something new. What I used to hope for, now doesn't seem that important and my eyes are searchin for a new passage to be made life form I still nowhere, but I am something anyway into this void gap, into the hiatus of my frozen state: The mind keeps workin, the heart's still beating. And any road has to take somewhere, anyway, anyhow, I am keep walkin down there, and I know flowers have to blossom out. * ------------------ Pencil on paper, no postwork, 1 hour work ------------------- This was one of the very few drawings I made while I was under therapy for allergias and stress and banned from pc use, back to this past March. The feeling is the one of missing, I was naturally missing the friends I have around the world that I couldn't communicate with without technology use. That melancholic void turned out to signify as well the lack of freedom in not being allowed to do things I considered natural and open to me before the "disease". That drove me into thoughts of freedom and chances in general. In the end, I know from badness there's always a path that leads to new awareness and to new stability. I know now, cos I have survived another task, and I got stronger than ever. Don't fear challenges, you're all stronger than them.:) Hugs :) :PS:I chose to upload this piece also cos its title was quite apt: I won't be much around for the next 15 days: for matter of work I have AGAIN to travel Italy to do conferences and debates about Politics and that generally never lets me have energies to surf Internet after the meetings I am assigned at. Plus being in the southern cities of my Country it will be even less easy to find cable connections for my laptop in hotel rooms. So.. don't worry for me you dears, when you might not find me around here... I'll be back daily after middle of November.Saint Ebots then will make me aware of what I have to check once back, heheh ;) Hugs and take care you all. There's always a huge missing of you when I can't speak with you often...But work is work,oh well! :)

Very beautiful, in both words and image. I really like it, and together they really remind me of the work done by the comic book artist Terry Moore in his OUTSTANDING series, STRANGERS IN PARADISE. SiP, as we call it, is an incredible story about two women and one man and their relationships, friendships, and how the past and future combine to create the tapestry of life. Calling it a comic book does not do it justice -- it is a series of novels told with pictures. Anyway, Terry frequently opens the books with a poem and an image, and this reminds me of his work. Very well done. Now, after Ive said all that, the chin on the woman to the right looks a little odd. This doesnt detract from the great detail you put into her hair (or the soulful look of the eyes). But it does look a bit off, as though one side is larger than the other. Nevertheless, another FABULOUS addition to your gallery. Thanks for sharing, and for your warmth and friendship.
