Description

My girlfriend and I visited several art galleries last weekend that had "Digital Imagery" for sale, so I came home and decided to do some "Digital Imagery" of my own. Dug through my photos and thought this looked pretty "artsy-fartsy" and I dropped it into Photoshop and came up with this. Whatya think? "Gallery" material?

Sure, it could go in a gallery. Compositionally, i think you could do a little more with the cropping to create dynamics. Right now, the entire image is centered. Also, the colors in the background seem like they're fighting the piece rather than supporting. The reflections on the grill could probably be taken out which would make a stronger shape. Personally, i'm not crazy about the starburst reflections. I hardly ever do this, i hope you understand i offer these comments because i think this image is worth the work. The subject matter really doesn't make or break an image, the treatment does. A better crop would go a long way on this image.
