Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

wow! that's a fantastic surprise and joy! never expecting a dedi! And this one is a gorgeous capture of an ibex! (it seems to be me, scrambling through the vegetation of the mountains LOL) it doesn't need an eagle for a magestic expression! this ibex, standing in the sunrays like a secret mountainking, looks more majestic, even mystic! the whole scene has a fairy atmosphere by the excellent POV! thank you so much for this amazing shot and gesture, Jan! ;o)))))))))

Oh, so nice you were able to shot this animal without telelens! I never had this opportunity : you were probably very high and in a very wild area of the mountains! I would have liked to be there ... Thanks!

So close to a wild animal, Jan-Carel. God blesses you, perhaps, I am thinking. It is so perfect, some people would think it had been made using Bryce or Vue d'esprit, but we know better.. Cngratulations.

Well, she remained calm because she was a female and because she was alone...(I suppose). An encounter with a male protecting his kids would have been another story!!
