Description

A step back now. This is before I ever encountered the wonders of Apophysis. One of the many ceremonies that take place during a Hindu wedding is that of decorating the bride's hands and feet with various beautiful designs, using henna. This is the art of mehndi, and it is what came to mind when I first saw this. Thanks for stopping by, your views and comments are appreciated.

Beautifully designed and colored mandala work! I recall what you wrote of from a Hindu wedding I was priviledged to attend. It's certainly a very beautiful part of the cermony and you've captured the essence of it with excellence!

Heh.. I am familiar with the word "mandala" from my own language (Hindi), but was unaware that it holds meaning in the fractal world as well until about 3 days ago, when I saw one posted to one of the fractal newsgroups. Thank you, RNGOERNER.

This one just pulls you in deeper and deeper with those delicate Julia spirals! I can't imagine trying to do those tiny details in henna, though;-) I love the warm colors--you could bask in the light of this image.
