A very good start. I think it would be improved if the brush strokes in the cliffs were longer and aligned with the layers of rock. Also, the Photoshop filter has left an unfortunate artifact at the cliff/sky interface where the cliffs and sky blend together exactly like they wouldn't if the paint techniques simulated were used. The same artifact looks O.K. at the cliff water boundary as water edges do blend. Maybe create masked layers for the sky and cliffs - with a longer brush stroke in the cliffs - and layer them to eliminate that cliff/sky blending. There must be many methods. I like how the shadows on the nearer cliffs frame the furthest cliff.
