OK, that was a leading statement, your Honor. Where are the top three culprits?

The statement was in reference to theatre pipe organs. There are church pipe organs that are much larger. So, we will list them by size and provide links to same in order of largest to smallest of the three runners up (or, as you say, culprits.) Culprit Number One The Sanfilippo Residence is home of the world's largest privately owned WurliTzer theatre pipe organ. The instrument has 80 ranks of pipes and 5 keyboards. To get a gander at it go to the following URL: http://theatreorgans.com/il/sanfilippo/ Culprit Number Two The Nethercutt Collection, a privately owed musium in San Sylmar, California, is home of the incredible Nethercutt WurliTzer theatre pipe organ with 73 ranks of pipes and 4 keyboards. To oggle it go to the folloing URL: http://theatreorgans.com/sylmar/ Culprit Number Three The Agoura House in Agoura, California is the home of John Ledwon's fabulous WurliTzer which has 52 ranks of pipes and 4 keyboards. To look at it go to the following URL: http://theatreorgans.com/ca/agoura/

Wow, and I thought the one at Stanford University's Memorial Church was big (my only real direct exposure to a x-large church organ)... this is one whale of a musical instrument! Thanks for an interesting view. Looks like they pulled out all the stops in making this one! (Horrible pun, sorry.)
