Description

Laupahoehoe Right behind of this picture was a school called "Laupahoehoe High School". On April 1 1946, the ocean was acting funny. The kids thought it was fun with the water going back and forth. Then the unthinkable happened, it was a Tsunami. 24 students and teachers lost their lives. A Monument was built for the Victims of the Tsunami at this Laupahoehoe Point.
