Ultrafractal 3.02
I've admired the work of Barb Rubin (tolstoy) for a long time. I like the pretty, defined shapes and colors she uses and that nifty, lined Thingies texture pattern. Here's my attempt at making something in that style as sort of a tribute to her and her neat fractal images - and, of course, yet another sphere. Maybe its my way of recovering all the "marbles" I've lost as I get older! lol (note - "old-ER", not "OLD"!) :?)

WOW, Rick! A very special beauty. It's reminiscent of Barb's exceptioanl work..but different enough to bear your signature. I've not seen anything quite like it. I love the composition and beautiful colors. And your tribute to Barb is wonderful well-deserved. She's my unsung heroine..and now she's "sung"!

I love the spheres. Someday you need to do a tutorial on them. The pearlescent textures make me want to touch them. DANG! This is just so awesomely composed and perfectly done....When I grow up I want to make fractals just like this.
