These are the things I see. Finally they can come to life.BIOHello,
My name is Bryan. I am a SCUBA Instructor by trade but I've always been an artist. My younger brother is a comic artist. I hope to go to art school soon. My photoshop and poser skills are all self taught. So any comments are well received. Good or bad. I own Digital Depth. I do custom art usually water based. I just started and have done three major projects this winter. I want to break into the adventure game industry. Wish me luck.

While I like the 'clean' composition and lines, this is working against you here - his pose/stance is too 'stable,' passive and static, he's not going to look anything other than 'gentle' unless there's some sense of imminent action in the image. There has to be some sense of "something's about to happen" to draw a viewer in emotionally, even if it's as subtle as lifting one foot and shifting his weight to a slightly unbalanced state, to indicate he's taking a step. As it is, it looks like he could stand there all day.

Pose is nice. Like the expression.

As a martial artist (in training.... "Wax on, wax off."), I'd say he looks like he's sizing up his enemy, willing to wait to see what that enemy will do first. It's a good pose, even if it's a bit static. In martial arts, we are taught that all moves begin with perfect balance. Without balance/stability, the defender (or attacker) won't be able to properly execute any attacks/defenses/counterattacks. No, he doesn't look gentle to me, just like he's waiting. Well done! hugs Wylder
