Description

I did not know which genre to put this guess it do not matter. I had set my Sony Cyber-shot on auto so I think I safe now; but all my images of the graveyard came out wash out giving it an errie spooky atmosphere. But I like that, I into surreal anyway and I do like all the other arts too. Then I took photos of an house they restore from the 1800's the woman that paid and built New Orleans[ go to Jackson Square it there] and all of them was no good, my hand shakes to much lol. My graveyard shots; my hand did not shake guess I was tried when I when to the house. thanks for looking and comments and votes

Interesting how the departed are buried there. Maybe because of a high water table? I kind of like the idea of not being buried in the earth 6 feet under. I like the over exposed look to this photo. An image in ones dream perhaps after visiting this grave yard. Excellent work.

A real city of the dead. The washed out look makes it seem like looking down Main St, very cool effect. All that spiritual energy must have gotten into the camera!

I agree with Sekadhar's remark about "Pale as death!" LOL. This is a fantastic capture, jocko! So many people I know have passed on lately, but none that I know of were buried ancient Native American style: Above ground. Beautiful render. Hugs ~ Sue

I see that they are all crypts, as they are in Sicily, some are like little house that you can go inside, and put photos, and flowers, and sit with the people who have passed. We also have "Il giorno della morte" The day of the Dead. And we would spend all nite there, to lite candles and take food and adrink, and make a vigil for their souls. I like these pics Jocko they remind me of that and the color is wonderful, white and pale like ghosts fromt the past. Eccelelnt*V Lina

I agree with you about it looking spooky. New Orleans is such a neat place with so many photogenic places. I tried to darken it up but with little luck. It does show the style of graveyards there and really good composition

Man this looks like a village in Mexico. The crypts are huge they look like houses. Must cost a fortune to build one of those. Very spooky scene! "V"

I love this! These are my favorites. The wash makes it look sooooo spooky! I can only speculate what is going on at the end of this lane of crypts. Looks pretty strange. I love it. I like it much better than if you had tried to make it dark and scary. For some reason this is much more frightening.
