Revenge is the Lord's alone, as the scripture quoted says, and He is the ultimate judge. But He daily uses mankind and our relations with one another to teach us and rebuke one another so that we might be persuaded to seek Jesus' forgiveness: That forgiveness alone is the only thing that will enable us to escape God's final judgment, and enter into His kingdom clean and forgiven of sin. Those without that forgiveness will truly know the full despair of God's judgment on them, and the eternal spearation from His presence that it brings.
