Description

b2amphot a.k.a. Bernard created the title and loves trees and its characters like me. So I decided to post this shot for him! Another one bites the dust! LOL No, another fascinating tree I found in this garden in scotland. I was stunning about its wonderful colored trunk and it looked so bare but beautiful! I have no idea about the name of this tree. Do you know? Thanks for your visit and all valuable comments!

You know, if I didn't know better, I would say this was a Eucalypt.....there are many types, but I see the stunning barks here in Australia all the time. I didn't realise there were any in Scotland, though!

I agree with Vana; this looks like Eucalyptus which grows very well here in Arizona. Beautiful capture.

Lovely shot, Ahh but everyones wrong about the type of tree....Its a rare type of Highland Widinheed tree. Its bark is the favourite food of another species unique to the highland environment, the even rarer, gray speckled haggis. These little blighters can strip a tree in a matter of hours, but this makes them sluggish and are easily shot by men with big red beards!!!!!.

I LOVE, Rita, Beautiful tree, texture as soft as a baby's skin!!! We're all young trees reachin' out to the sky, our roots run deep to what we humbly learned and our leaves stretch out on what we humbly dream for.........GREAT SHOT, my Friend...................kiss...........SG
