Description
Tonight we stepped outside with the kids and watched a yearly display we call 'Northern Lights' or aurora borealis.
This is my first time using the night landscape setting on the d70. I hope you like the results.

This is magic and marvellous! An excellent shot. I once lived in northen Sweden, there we could see it too, but I did not have a camera so I just enjoyed it.

Amazing capture. I have seen the aurora borealis in nothern Minnesota, but the colors were not this vivid at that time. A spectacular shot!

I havent seen this phenomena. how often this northern light appear? great capture indeed. I saw the camera exif data you were shooting around 250th of a second? do you really need to shoot a high speed here? Great colour too. cheers!

But i noticed that Modesty commented three times, lol. MY GOODNESS!!!! What a beauty of a shot Jodie! We get northern lights where i live, but ive never seen one this beautiful before. Absolutely stunning!!!! With the risk of sounding as a nag....id tell you to clone out those wires to make it completely perfect. #;o)
