Description

hello - this is another try at Florida water - hence the unusual color - again no postwork, but i think i will try that this week - the water is glassier in this version and i think the rock surfaces are more complex, but please feel free to leave suggestions and comments, this is an ongoing exploration and i do actually try the suggestions people make : ))

Very nice water. Reminds me of the southern part of my home state, around the reefs. Of course, Florida has no rocks, by and large, especially where the water is that color. Terragen makes it hard to simulate subtle land/water transitions, but you might try for more of a "sandbar" effect.

Lovely water effect. Increasing the water transparency depth would add a little more realism :)

The water is very interesting and crisp. IMO do not mess around with postwork until you have a better grasp of terrains and surfaces. Post work just complicates an already complex process of making Terragen images. Download a nice terrain, like Shannon, on hillrunner's site, it is a proven winner as you have seen here in the gallery, and dress it up some. Maybe a dark rock with snow on top to keep it simple. Water comes out OK without much work, but makes renders much longer and you need to just make lots of pictures for now! Just some friendly advice from some one who struggles with each image!!! :)

Beautiful image! I agree about the transparency. Try increasing trans depth and use water works sorta surf to give some surf effects. Your water color and wave height is just right. I know how difficult Terragen can be with shorelines and water effects. You are doing great and will get it perfect!
