Description

This is the terrain "Shannon" which Olivier (Hillrunner) has graciously made available on his website. Thanks to the author Aktati ! Beautiful terrain where I chose to experiment with strata and bear with me, I know they are too straight and obvious but it took 20 H of computing. Did not have the heart to thrash it !!! I will work some more on this and come up with something better at a later time. For now concentrate on the rest....Please ! Thank you all for visiting and commenting ! Much appreciated ! Merci

The atmosphere is great and surface too, but i don't like this violet colour in it.. The Terrain is also great... you took a real good one ;)

Very nice surfaces, and although the strata don't look too realistic, they have a wonderful artistic quality about them. This is an excellent terrain and the atmosphere is excellent too!

Agree with environaut. Strata isn't too realistic, but I really love it. Nice atmo here. Agree with nicokorn about violet color in the surface. Anyway, great!

Hey, violet thing is the granite, isn't it? I like it. Great atmo! Well, the strata... ;) you know.

The scale of the strata looks better in the closer hills. Sometimes a stark strata works quite well, so don't automatically discount it (although I can't do them worth a darn). I like the spare surfaces and gloomy atmo a lot.

You are back in the groove Paul. Working with 'Shannon' is fun. Many POVs to explore. Your work here is excellent for someone who has been hands off for almost 12 weeks. This is a beautiful creation!
