Description
Sgt. Gardner Grayle of The Atomic Knights is off to save the day in his post apocalyptic world. The knights battled fierce mutants, aliens, and the mighty King of Atlantis in armored suits that made them immune to radiation (handy after a nuclear holocaust.) Don't worry... it happened in 1987! ;)
This was one of my favorite series from DC's Strange Adventures. The Atomic Knight stories appeared every third issue. The original was written by John Broome and Murphy Anderson drew the art. I found an old issue recently and it inspired me to do an interpretation. I can remember many a pleasant afternoon spent under a shady tree with friends reading stacks of comics like this one.
The Knight was made from Michael Reduced Res that was heavily hacked up in Wings. The boots are from Daz.

I don't think I ever read any of the Atomic Knight stories, didn't dabble in DC to much when I read comics. This is a great picture though. Love the color and the look of the knights armor. Good work on this one.

I remember that series, had issue one too! But alas, some fiend stolen my comic collection from our office! And if that wasn't bad enough they also stole my tools. Hanging too good for a fiend like that.....
