I at one time thought the airplane type shocks and the long heater duct and squirrel cage blower were what distinguished a 1948 from a 1947 Ford. Reading some ford books now I am not sure. the red slash hubcaps versus the blue block letters I have opposite to the repro parts people. (the 1946 had blue stripes in the fender, body and hood strips so why don't the blue block letters go with the 1946?) Nice to visit with one in such pristine finish and ambiguous to what no longer matters. The last of the buggy sprung, rivetted x-frame Fords with houdaille non-self energizing brakes is ride of it's own being.
