Description

Why are the shores and the ground in scottland at low tide brown colored ? Scotland is a moor and you will see peat everywhere. When we checked our apartment, we noticed that the drinkwater was brown. Thought it was a long time not in use and so I let it run 2 hours: still brown. We let the water run the whole night. Next morning: water was still brown! We didn't want to drink it, because we didn't know, that it comes from the mountain and the moor. Later we were told that it is not unhealthy. In the towns they clean the water with chemicals. So we had to live with this phenomenon, learned to shower and wash with it, but we couldn't drink it, although your mind knows, but your eye isn't playing with! So we had to buy water in the shops for coffee and cooking. Thanks for visiting and all comments!

So since you've washed with it you're brown!? He he! The locals are used to it, but as visitor I can imagine it's strange. Gorgeous colors here! I thought they were typical for fall!

Lovely cascading browns! Brown water? Yes, the mind says it is ok, the eye says 'No'!! In places where there are sulfur springs the water smells of sulfur. Visitors have the same dilemma! Thanks for the picture and the experience!

In the north east of India you will get oil in water and it fks up the stomach too. So, people rather prefer to drink tea than water...... the boiling takes care of it , it seems. Water....water everywhere and not a drop to drink...... it happens at times.;)

Oh my lord is that gorgeous... almost looks like a mountain range with gold foilage. This deserves a WOW. As for the water... I'm with you on not being able to drink anything that isn't crystal clear or has an odor. Bet the landlord loved you for running the water all night.

Les rochers semblent une for prifi. La nature n'est pas suicidaire, elle se raccroche n'importe quoi pour vivre. Belle leon de vie... et de photographie!
