Description

Oceanic Whitetip Shark at Elphinstone reef, Red Sea (Egypt) on 31st of October 2004 Actually there were two to three sharks swimming around the dive boats that were attached to the reef. So my friend Bruno and I decided to get some pictures between the dives. Camera, fins and mask and off we went... After getting back to our boat we were told that during our snorkling and taking the pictures one of the sharks had bitten a zodiac (a rubber boat). And now thinking back I would not do things kind of silly thing again since you can never be sure about the sharks and Oceanic Whitetip sharks are considered dangerous... The problem about taking these pictures was that the waves were giving me rock'n'roll so it was really hard to keep the camera steady... Camera: Olympus 410 and Olympus P-016 underwater housing. Thanks for swimming by!

Wonderful photo -- I hope that shark has already had breakfast. Love the composition. Excellent image.
