Description

This is my first scene in 3DS Max. I've been using Wings 3D and Bryce mostly until now, but i needed something a bit more advanced for my renders and animations. Over the past 2 weeks i've grown totally addicted to 3DS Max... This scene shows Xyth Base, with partially finished outer ring. The base has a diameter of 1380 meters and a height of 1035 meters. Some parts were stil modelled in Wings 3D, cos sometimes its a lot faster to model there compared to 3DS Max. Background in Photoshop and a couple light effects in Particle Illusion. I'll be making a short animation of this base soon to try out the animation functions in Max. Thanx for looking.

Beautiful image! First image in 3DS Max? Wow! I am impressed. Let me know about the final version of your animation project of this scene. I would love to see it!
