Sky seems a little strange, the skull it interesting-- work on the color and maybe try a more natural bump map on the mountain. The ship is interesting but it could use more detail. Also try working on the flame a bit more, I can see you used the Bryce flame, but it's difficult to see what part of the ship it's coming from. Keep working!

Well, I can see what you are trying to do and its a good idea, however, I think you need to concentrate on making this look 3D - hell, that's why we use this stuff right. You have a scene but the sky and background look very flat, the shadows and lighting you need to work on to give it depth ( also camera focal point is probably at 60 default, lmake it more like 90-100 and you'll get 'depth' in the atmosphere. I also agree that the textures you used need to be scaled more appropriately for your mountain, go into the DTE and increase it over say 100% and then see how it looks...Bryce is agood program, and you've got some good ideas....keep posting and keep reading up on those tutorials available here and at other 3D sites

Good concept. The material of the mountain looks quite good to me, but I think the skull should be more integreated with the rock - a somewhat smoother transition between rock and jawbone/right cheekbone for instance. The sky looks somewhat grainy and strange. Maybe a more natural looking blue sky with some cloulds would be better. The wings of the spaceship look rather flat. An "old metal" texture that combines well with the hull would be better, I think. And a glowing exhaust on the rear end of the ship, showing where the blueish flames come from, would be a great addition. All in all, good job, with a little work it can be excellent.

I read your post in the forum about comments from outside the Bryce community, so I decided to give your gallery a browse. I like this image. I'd be interested in seeing some other versions with different skies and lighting just for variation. But all in all I think it's a great image. If you don't mind my asking, what version of Bryce do you use? I've got 4 and rarely do anything in it anymore. I hear version 5 is much more versatile.
