Description

The crucifixion of Jesus has always been an inspiration for artists. This is my version in Vue. There are a few additions from Poser, Lynnart and Baument, but most of the props were modelled in Vue or Amapi with some serious postwork in Ability Photopaint.

Wow, very high level of craftsmanship - very well done image. The composition is pretty tight - seems to work quite well.

Wonderful work. You may want to look at using a lightning filter which can gernerate more realistic lighning (I use Eye Candy or Flaming Pear). But this is really a superb image - VOTE!

Excellent image! Looks like an old faded still from a movie.

As Dragonfly said - Wow! I thought cameras were a much later invention than this :-) A couple of small criticisms. The lightning, has already been mentioned. The other concerns the Roman soldiers in the foreground. Their modelling looks much more wooden compared to the wonderful detail of the three unfortunate victims. Maybe this was intentional to reflect their professional detachment from the proceedings, but I think they would have benefitted from a little more post-work to increase their realism. But this is minor carping. This is an impressive piece of work - the tonal qualities, overall composition, and the power and detail of the three main protagonists are all excellent.
