Description

This is an older poem of mine that fits the way I feel today...
And the pic is one I took at night, while driving with the camera set on the nighttime setting, hence the blurry lights from the length of time the shutter (or whatever the equalivelant is on a digi cam) was open

Lights and lives

moving, living, dreaming

without me

We sit outside of life

more than mere observers

yet never full participants

We are the riddles of sphinxes

leftover puzzle pieces

searching realities

for a universe that fits

Hello young lady. I like the John Lennon song, "Watching The Wheels" - (I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round). Think we've all been at that stage at least once in our lifetimes. Hang tough. PEACE. Excellent piece. Vote.

I love that picture Cara! And of course your words deserve similar credit. That feeling of not fitting in... perhaps it is universal in and of itself? Peace.

Very good work, Cara-Mae! Brought Joni Mitchell to mind for me....'we're captured on the carousel of life'.

"leftover puzzle pieces" I really like this line. I like how your poem portrays sitting and watching life rather than participating in it. Beautifully done
