Description

I think this is the biggest sun of them all... I am disappointed by the edge around the sun, maybe when i render this with everything maxed out it will fix that problem...but as for now... this is a 3000x2250 resized to 1000x750... with no postwork, only sharpening.... I hope you'll all enjoy... -Aaron Tyler

Now that is a fantastic BIG sun! I love it, especially with those clouds in front. Excellent lighting, surfaces, and terrain all make me VOTE for this one!

It's fantastic, Aaron. But I would say the 'sun' is a planet. A magnificent work.

The line around the sun is a little distracting, but not so bad. this is a great work, reminds me of somewhere between gradient and turx!

Beautiful image, but the sun doesn't fit. if you did it in Photoshop, you should've done the sun in layer 2, and chosen a smaller percentage of opacity for this layer.

outstanding work, this image is breathtaking! I hope you dont mind me sharing what I see from my point of view...this image would be out of this world if the edges on the sun and terrain were not as sharp...post work smudging or bluring a bit might do it...and a halo or aura around the sun would be the icing on the cake...keep up the excellent work!

Blonderella is right. Great image, but not everything needs to be so sharp. Your problem with the sun's edge probably stemmed from oversharpening. I would in fact suggest blurring the edges of the sun for a more realistic effect.
