This is a neat demonstrative capture. It is very typical for a eucalyptus trees to burn out the grass nearby. The leaf that fall from it are so strong in its essence that the grass is killed and moreover the tree grows up very fast eating away the lands nutrient at a faster rate. Even though considered a quick remeady for aforestation, in the long run its not good for the ecology.......... oh god, sorry for this long lecture.;) It is a wonderful image.:O))

Great find ! Very rare now this plantations of eucalipts in the North of Spain, they are banned by the ecologists because after they are cutted the soil is so exahusted, in 25 years nothing grows. The shot is superb !

Beautiful trees, but no koala bears, Mary. Just kidding. There would be none in Galicia. We have rhododendron bushes in Scotland. They were imported from China, I believe. They kill the native plants. Their root system is very hard to eradicate. They are also beautiful.
