Description

On the walks we took... nature's design and gestalt impulse became my camera trigger. It is hard to imagine that Fraser Island with its trees, lakes and rivers is built on sea sediment... sand. After a while you begin to recognise patterns in the chaotic but randomly appearing natural elements. Driftwood, windblown seeds, tide action around an obstacle, the building up of a soil's profile, falling of a tree.....Patterns of free flow and joy. The death of a sea urchin, tree and leaf seem to show a beauty still radiating in the chance design of their juxtaposition!. Nature is designed to grow, respond, fracture and grow again successfully.

Great compo, I immediately thought of a mammoth tusk, but of course I see that it is driftwood, beautifully treated by the sea. Excellent photo!
