Description

In my teen-age years I spent many blissful hours creating a graphic novel for the delight of my school friends and myself. Inspired by artists like Herge, it was presented in 'strip' form. The tale grew in the telling, though after producing over two hundred and fifty strips it was eventually abandoned. It was rendered in pen and ink and coloured with Derwents and gauche. During my spare time I am committing the original work to digital files, as well as producing a restored copy with the hand writing dialogue replaced by digital fonts. The original artwork is suffering from yellowing and other deterioration related to over-handling.

Thanks for all the comments. It is a shame that I had to compress the file so much that it has detracted from some of the detail and made the colour more 'murky', but I wanted to display several strips on the one page to demonstrate the planned colour progress and the mood it generates. Can you notice the hot to cold progression? I wanted the page to wax and wane in its colour 'heat', to give the impression of a pulse or beat.

This sample make you want more of the story. You have an eye for coloring. So please promise to share more in the future.

I can see the Tintin strip-like influence but the colours are dazzeling. It is like a pastel almost. I love the characters. Any chance of some close up pics of them? VOTE!
