Description
I first started out trying to replicate an image I saw in a Lightwave gallery somewhere. I think it was generated by Liquid Arts. This is my Cinema 4D rendition of it but I also wanted to make it seems slightly less sterile by applying the sepia grain to it. In my opinion, it gives it a more authentic, older photographic feel to it.

Looks good. You should put a thumb image up also as loads of people tend not to look at pics without a thumb.:)

Could be used as an effective ad.

Great work. Love the gritty look. (The heavy grain is intentional. It gives the scene more character.)

Thanks for the comments guys. I understand both sides about the grain effect. Some people think its just right while others think its too much. I showed it to 5 of my friends and 3 said it was fine while the other 2 say it was way too much. All down to personal preference I think.

Fantastic image, nice work. Adding noise to crisp renderings nearly always increases the photo chromatic realism of the image as a whole, combined with Depth of Field. This image could have come from an expensive magazine commercial. However, my only (tiny) comment is that the bottle looks too full considering that its obviously just been opened to fill up the two glasses. Alex
Valar
Thanks for your comment Cineman. The only thing I would say in my defence is that if you look at almost any drink advertising, the bottle is almost always completely full even though there may be glasses of it showing in the shot. Maybe the advertiser wants to display the bottle as you buy in - full and unopened. Just a thought....

The dutch angle bothers me. What defeats it is the background is not tilted indicating the table is falling over. Nice job on the modeling and textures. I also would reduce grain a little. mrobmar
