I think perhaps the image is only suffering from overcompression - looks fine to me - well done Ken.

Oh wow! Ken, this is fantastic! Extremely photographic looking at a glance. I had to look close on this one to see evidence of it being a 3-D rendering. The lighting on the castle doesn't quite match the sky lightig and some of the texturing on the castle isn't working to perfection, but those are very small nit-picks. Taking the image as a whole, it works very well. The terrain material is supurb! Excellent work.

Since you are interested in Scottish art; I would like to recommend that you rent the DVD entitled "Rivers and Tides". It is a 90 minute video of the work of a famous artist from Scotland. His work is very unique. Your composition is fabulous. It delivers a sense of realism.
