Description
My thought process behind this image was the the man who weilded this sword had been forgiven of his sins. Perhaps it is wrong for me to think that killing someone, even if it was in war, can be forgiven, but I am of the belief that the truely repentent can be forgiven. On thinking about it further, perhaps the title should have been "Seeking Forgiveness," so as to allow the viewer to decide whether forgiveness should be given.
This is the image I've been working on to fill my time since I posted creationism. I haven't yet decided if I'm finished with this image or not so I'm hoping for a lot of feedback on it to help me decide. As always I encourage you to comment, or question.
Everything has been done in C4D with the exception of the Christ which was made in Poser.

I can't get a grip on what the image is saying, but I can truly say this is some great modeling and textureing..I really like that purple material and the Candle texture is awesome!!!! :oo...GREAT LIGHTING also!!

I added the first paragraph after loswl's post. Any ideas on how I can clear up the thought that I'm trying to convey?

I agree that the meaning is not clear to me, but the modeling is excellent. Perhaps if you placed the Crucifix on the wall above the sword. If, like me, you believe repentance and acceptance of Christ brings forgiveness, then Christ must be above all else.
