Description

The harvest is over, the crop is in the barn. Winter is soon to come... This was supposed to be a quickie, and started out as an experiment, I wanted to see if I could depict the plough tracks on a wet autumn/winter field. Well, I got caught in the proces and ended up with a 41 mio poly file. So much for simplicity in a apparently simple compostion :) Vue with a little postprocessing in Photoshop. Rendertime 50 min. in "Ultra" Hope you like this, thanks for your attention to my work. Comments always welcome and much appreciated - Lars

Excellent terrain work ... the water reflections are awesome ... and the depth of the whole composition too ... may be the texture of the house (ranch) a little bit flat ... anyway a vote from me ...

the only thing I would change about this image is the texturing of the house, as pmermino said, its a bit flat. Apart from that the image is outstanding and the mood you've created is perfect :-)

I'd rather have hesitation about water texture except if its ice...wonderful landscape

Great depth to this image Lars. The furrows to the left with water in the midground of the image look the best. Fine work.

Certainly some settings could be tweaked in lighting/texturing of building or on bumps on water texture as Sylvaine notes.. but this is a fantastic image (I understand what you mean by infinite horizons :)) absolutely deserves a V

Great work on the fields - this could easily be anywhere in the midwest us. As to the flat texture on the house - looks like plastic siding to me -again anywhere in the midwest!

I KNOW how much work went into this. Gorgeous composition. I just wish I didn't see "phantom" Vue wire frames in every render I look at here, :-) Well done. Lsrs!
