As Thanksgving Day 1983 approached I sttod with a red panda looking at the old laides with their shopping baskets filled with their gear huddled up against teh walls of Martin Luther, Lutheran church on the circle in Washington, DC, warmed by a spotlight. One really did not dare approach them as they would hie away.

This is a beautiful scene and the poem is so fitting and beautifully expressed!A shame we only think of the poor and homeless a few times a year.Prayer for all our needful brothers and sisters is a must! Thanks for the reminder.Beautiful, thoughtful artwork Evie! Huge vote here!

I'm an easy touch for those folks. Panhandlers see me coming a mile away.. hehe. My Robin freaked a few times when I would bring one home to feed, bath and give shelter to, at least over night. One pair (mother and son) ended up staying for several months while I trained the lad in programming. They borrowed $1000 one day and hit the road (without warning) the next.. Oh well.. I'd do it again! Maybe they'll say thanks someday if I ever see em again. (ask Linda about Luqman) Anyway, I'd rather bring one in and teach him to fish, feeding him for life, than throw him a fish and feed him for just a day. I drove Robin crazy.. hehehe.. Excellent poem and Image Evie! Have a great Thanksgiving day yourself!!! Mom say's Hi! Hugs.. Dave :^)

Ride or Run has the same meaning for me. We were far from rich when growing up, but we had a Mom that would give a helping hand to anyone that needed it, and Eve, Mom would be so proud of you, you certainly have brought her message clear and upfront with this image and poem. FANTASTIC!
