Description

One of my first models created in Wings. Pretty happy with it, although I still have a ton of tricks to learn about smoothing, textures etc. It's obviously based on an Eagle from Space 1999, with a modified cockpit and twin cargo bays. Wings, Bryce and Photoshop. The OBJ file is at http://www.zymurgy.org/~phil/mod/eagle.zip if you want it. Thanks for looking.

Nice work! I am working on learning Wings3d, and you're an excellent example of what one can do.

I'm a Wings3D modeler, also. Your model is especially nice. I'd work on the clouding some more, specifically, it doesn't feel like that air is powerful enough. Was it modeled or postworked into the scene? You should be proud of the model-- excellent work.

I would have to say you're getting the hang of Wings in a big way. Great work. A pretty good chunk of detail for one of your "first" attempts.

AAAAHHHHH!!! Why do you HAVE to be so good on your first try! You're supposed to have that learning curve, you know, the one I never seem to come out of. ;) Great image.

I've got the Dinky toys Eagle transporter and Eagle Freighter sat on my desk as I type this, a little battered and worse for wear but cool all the same. Nice modelling and POV, a classic angle straight from the show...

I remember Saxon! I remember Space 1999 too and this doesn't remind me of that song. I always think of the robot pooch/bear.

Excellent model! Looks like you have been looking at Bam-Bam's work for inspiration. For not knowing all the tricks you sure did a fantastic job, as well as on the render. Mark
