Description

Vibrant Autumn has shed her brocade gown All the lush colors of rubies, topaz and citrine Woven so intricately with richness of spun gold Her naked limbs dark and svelte scamper across Cityscape and countryside without prejudice And so she is free from her burdens of nurturing For it is time for Nature to nurture herself In the luxury of solitude deep in the bosom Of her Mother Gaia--Earth's firstborn child Has come home from her foray across the surface. And like Nature herself it is my time as well To put away the machinations of civilization And take the less traveled path into myself Find the person who was meant to be and never was Hermetic retreat for inner reassessment Necessary to each life form upon Gaia's breast Neglected shamefully to fulfill the duties Bound about our necks as yoke to oxen Souls created to be free and enlightened We have become pawns to politics and religion Deathtraps meant for the wraiths of our species Follow your own less traveled soulway be it Mountain trail, cobblestoned alley or woodland path Find and revel in the person you were meant to be Before civilization set its teeth into your heart.
