The main object is created by subdividing a sphere then extruding parts of it using the Magnet tool. Then you have to alter its shape using the Matrix Extrude feature. This takes a lot of experimentation and generally messing around. Its actually a lot simpler than it looks. There was no Photoshop involved at all. All done within Cinema 4D. If anyone wants a scene file I'd be more than happy to supply it in order that they may analyze it to work out how it was done. Neil V
