Description
The lotus matrix
connection between devine light
and chaotic darkness,
symbol of the four elements
indicating the primal condition before creation
when these elements were united in the cosmic womb
bearing bud, bloom and seed pods,
the lotus is virgin ~ mother ~ crone
goddesses closely associated with the lotus are,
Lilith (named from lilu or lotus), the Indian goddess Matripadma mother lotus, womb of nature, and Hathor, later the great goddess Isis.
