I would like to add this image as # 39 of my 'family album' series.
It was raining at the morning. That light good smelling rain. I opened the window in order to smell that nice fresh odor that a quiet summer rain has. My roommate already left, and I decided to arrange the cabinet. It was time to make there a little order, and also I needed to find a nice dress for the afternoon. I had an important meeting at 5 o'clock.
I couldn't find anything at the cabinet that I liked. Nothing was there that suited my mood. I knew that women at that meeting all will be well dressed, and I even doesn't dare to mach their attire. But I wanted something decent, a little bit more than my general very cozy casual clothes. Something a little bit more elegant, a little bit more sophisticated.
When I fancied nice clothes, I usually went to one of the PearshapeShops, that had cute little designer cloths... with very cheap price tags. I especially liked to visit that one that was very close to the Rockefeller Center. There was a very nice middle age lady shop attendant, who always liked to see on me things that she had at the store. I was one of her favored customers. Once, even introduced me to a young fashion designer, Kevin, who was bringing in his clothes to the store himself. Many times when I was at the shop, somehow Kevin was there also. He always asked me to go to model him, he liked my body shape, and he thought it would be a great challenge to make me some very nice dress for me. I had never had the time to go and visit his business. One day, while we met at the store, he took my measurement, and told me that he will make something special for me. I thought he was just kidding... and forgot his promise.
So, after I couldn't find anything to wear, I went to that shop. The shopkeeper lady was very kind, as she always did, brought me a lot of things... and I took them and tried them on one by one. Nothing was there that I liked. While standing in front of the mirror, the door opened, and Kevin entered... with a huge hip of clothes in her hands. After he put down the dresses on the counter, he turned to me: "I brought something for you" - he said and handed me a black little dress. I wasn't too enthusiastic... while holding that dress I could find anything exiting about it. I went to the little changing room, and at the moment I put on that dress, I already knew I loved it.
While I was going toward the mirror, where Kevin and the shopkeeper already waited for me... when they noticed me both of them started to laugh. The dress I was wearing was very big. It has been more than a month when I gave my measurement to Kevin, and since then I found a diet that helped me to shed off a lot of pounds and now I was much thinner than the last time we met. Looking at the mirror I started to laugh also and told Kevin: Anyway... Thanks... You are so kind... I ask for your forgiveness... I know... I should have phone you... but tell you the truth... it was hard to believe me that you really would keep your promise...
