Yes, I also thought of a chrysalis. All curled up and hiding. Wonderful fractal spiral and nice texture and colors.

So beautifully done, I thought it was a photo at first glance. Amazing fractal; beautiful texturing and natural coloring, lighting and background! Very evocative; it really does look like a meek little creature trying to roll up and hide within itself (like a rolly-polly caterpillar does). Outstanding work!!! VOTE

oh...looks like a caterpillar curled up for a nap. Beautiful form and great textures!
