Description

A little note to the kind viewer: Having been offline for three weeks, I took some time to finish some old artwork. This particular piece was started in January of 2000 with the three central figures, Sekhmet, the lion-headed Solar Neter (neter was ancient Egyptian for what we would call an archetype), her consort Ptah, the Artisan/Creator, and their son, Nefertem, Neter of Medicine and Perfumes. I researched the Memphis Trinity in order to get every component, from their staffs, costumes (even Ptah in mummy wrappings)and poses accurate. Its an awkward piece, I know, but the stiffness and formality were purposeful and the composition as a whole still somehow conveys what I was looking to communicate, so I chose to share it publically. This is a tribute in pixels for Sekhmet, one of whose praise names is "She For Whom The Arts Where Born". Poser (pre Vicky and Michael, just the old POsette and Dork ;->), Photoshop, Painter

Wonderful work! I just love mythology and I'm glad to see your use of the older Egyptian gods like this. Great job!
