Description

Still a work in progress. You can see the original in my gallery. It's still missing something, I think. Any suggestions and crits would be great.

I'd say it's pretty much done. One thing you improve is the threads on the bottle. Increase the subdivision and get rid of the blocky look. Other than that, pretty damn good. Brazil render???

Yup it's brazil. And wouldn't ya guess, smoothing out the threads was on my list of things-to-do before hitting the render button. I just realized that I forgot to do it after reading your comment. Heheh, thanks for the crit though!! Appreciated! Fast, too...

This is not a critisism but rather a suggestion for a more life-like presentation. Can you make the actual capsules have one half larger than the other have and thus over lapping the smaller half. I think that's how the real world things are made. Just a though but it still looks great even if you forgot to do the sub-division. Keep up the great work.

I guess everyone gave it all but heres mine,I think that stretching on the tile is a little to much. Also, why is the red SOOO Red?! and why are reflections on the tile and capsules fading?Well maybe its the effect you wanted. And another thing is,that white cement in between the tiles should have some bump map.It looks so accurately flat like a giant telescope mirror. 8 : (

All excellent points! Thank you! The reason the reflections are fading is because I used Falloff (fresnel) in the reflection slot. I was having trouble getting it to work any other way with Brazil. I'll keep experimenting! Thanks again.

I like a lot . Agree with all above. Ive heard how hard is work with Brazil but the render is great and reflections are great too. Grat work. PD: I like the hot red of the capsules, dont change it. :-)

Powerful image. Ithink the only thing that stops this image being photorealistic is the smoothing on the threads. Other than that it was shot in a photographic studio with the result being the desired one! Change those threads!!!!

This is not a critisism because I know you just forgot to fix the threds, but I'd like to say to everyone, where you can always increase the sub divisions on objects! I see so many images where sub divisions are to low, it takes the realism away from any image instantly!! Anyway, I love this!! Powerful subject for the image, and I'm giving you a high 8 because I've had a look at Brazil and know how difficult it is, but you've pulled it off beautifully!! Well Done!
