this is really quite wonderful, Jeroen, and you've hit upon a subject dear to my heart...trees...next to birds...well, i find them to be most special. I love bark...to feel it, to look at it, and your capture is VERY appealing to me. i have a favorite birch tree (least i think it's birch)...maybe i'll upload an image. Anyway your image reminds me of the walls of a cave. maybe that's a strange thing to say...could be just me...but that's what i think of when i see this. I also feel much emotion from this...much pain. strange thing to say I'm sure, but that's what i see when i look at it. Anyway, i love this & am interested in more like it!! vote!

Almost like leather! It's funny how one doesnt take much notice of bark, yet when cropped like this, it makes a stunning image. As always, amazing capture =)
