Description

While on a deep sea expedition of one of Rik's reefs, I came across this lovely and strange creature. It obviously decided to be quick and not dead, for it was making a fast escape to the surface. I was fortunate to capture its beautiful luminous form on film as it swam toward the light above. Apophysis 2.02 PW in Photoshop CS..It is intentionally overfocused to give it the luminosity and movement I desired. Thank you Rik for your kind and thoughtful comments on my postings. You and many others make it a joy to be a member of this fractal community.

Fabulous image! The ray of light is just right. Just don't get caught in its tentacles ;-) Excellent!

Thank you so very much for this warm and delightful dedication, Diane! This beautifully depicted little creature with its glowing soft colors and graceful form (hexapoedia, right?) really brightens my day, just as your perfect rays of light brighten its path. I wish I knew how to bring apo work into UF so I could add him to one of my reef backgrounds; we should get together on that and figure out how! Wonderful work; glad you are also swimming the fractal reef and adding to its beauty! VOTE
