Thank you for the hits and comments on Folk Flame! I know it needs more density but it kept freezing the computer...some flames seem to do that.
This is a piece made in October but there were way too many "hot spots" in it so I totally reworked the gradient this morning to find the details...one tiny control point at a time. Tedious but very interesting to see how it worked through the composition.The original gradient was sampled from the restored colors of Michangelo's Sistine Chapel.
